1.1. Aims of the course
The main objective of this subject is to analyze in a practical way the necessary conditions for the application of e-learning technology programs throughout life in work teams and organizations.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), in such a way that the acquisition of the
learning outcomes of the subject provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement:
- Objective 4: Quality education. By 2030, substantially increase the number of young people and adults who have the necessary skills, in particular technical and professional, to access employment, decent work and entrepreneurship. In this way, considerably increase the supply of qualified teachers.
1.2. Context and importance of this course in the degree
This subject is one of those that, together with the subject Analysis of digital educational materials (63145), is related to the topic "use of information and communication technologies in teaching". Thus, the peculiarity of this subject is its orientation towards education throughout life in its three manifestations: formal education, non-formal education and informal education. Likewise, all areas are included academic, professional and cultural, attending to the specificity of the students. That is, it addresses manifestations of e-learning in all its breadth.
1.3. Recommendations to take this course
This is one of the three subjects of the master's degree that deal with content related to ICT. It is important that the student understands the interactive and active nature of the subject in order to show continuous involvement and collaboratively during the teaching-learning process in its development. The student must be clear about her role as a constructor of learning, and thus participate in a meaningful way in the activities and proposals that are
They will be carried out throughout the course through virtual environments. Thus, the subject will be taught virtually through the use of Moodle.
2.1. Competences
2.1. Competencies
- That students know how to apply the knowledge acquired and their ability to solve problems in environments new or little known within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to their area of study.
- That students have the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.
- Access specialized information sources on the specific topics of the master's degree and extract the bibliographic references relevant to a specific study topic.
- Analyze the changes incorporated in the educational system as a consequence of the new needs of learning, with new objectives, new ways of learning, with new technologies and with the need to promote equality between men and women, democratic values and a culture of peace and respect for individual differences.
- Understand the need to support the incorporation of new techniques from a psychopedagogical perspective technologies as a response to the information and knowledge society.
- Use ICT as a tool to access information, as a means of communication with others and as a means of dissemination of the ideas developed.
- Be able to synthesize information and analyze it critically, recognizing the contributions they make to the advancement of knowledge in a specific field, but at the same time knowing how to detect their limitations.
- Carry out activities collaboratively based on e-learning technologies: use of shared folders,
elaboration of group documents, etc.
- Develop skills to work in a group with professionals from the same or different fields of knowledge.

Analyze experiences and curricular and training innovations, at any educational level and throughout the life, in virtual teaching-learning contexts.
Identify the key elements in the proposals and processes of educational research based on e-learning.
Identify the role they play, as well as the associated skills, the protagonists involved (the student and the teacher/educator) in learning in a virtual environment.
2.3. Importance of learning goals
The training obtained in e-learning as an educational methodology, and that emerges from the previous results, approaches the student in a more specific way to a teaching context that has burst into our educational centers and institutions. Distance education, virtualized, through the internet, and using for it tools such as forums, instant messaging, training platforms, etc., and the use of this type of methodology is innovative in basic and educational research, they offer students tools that allow them to adapt and adjust to an enriching teaching-learning environment.
3. Assessment (1st and 2nd call)
3.1. Assessment tasks (description of tasks, marking system and assessment criteria)
Evaluation activities. The student must carry out an individual project on a topic related to e-learning and whose purpose is of study must be agreed with the professors of the subject. The work will defend itself before the teaching staff in a face-to-face public session or via videoconference.
Calification criteria:
- Individual report. 60% of the grade.
- Exhibition and defense 20% of the qualification.
- Participation in 20% forums of the qualification.
All students have the right to take a global assessment test, which
will consist of the defense of an individual work with the same characteristics as the one described previously and, whose defense and delivery, will be made on the date indicated in the academic calendar.
Second and subsequent calls Students who in the first or previous call have not obtained a higher grade or equal to 5 points in the previously stipulated tasks must continue with the realization of the same proceeding to modify and correct all those issues indicated by the teachers; or proceed to its realization in those cases in which the qualification is "not presented".
They are determined by the learning outcomes associated with the subject.
“Fraud or total or partial plagiarism in any of the assessment tests will lead to the
failed the subject with the minimum grade, in addition to the disciplinary sanctions that the
guarantee commission adopted for these cases”.
4. Methodology, learning tasks, syllabus and resources

4.2. Learning tasks
1: Individual or group work
2: Discussion groups/exchange and contrast of online information
3: Follow-up of individual and group online work
4: Oral presentation of content/work by students
The activities will be linked to the SDGs 2030 agenda, mainly with objective 4: quality education
4.3. Syllabus
The course will address the following topics:
Topic 1. Key concepts of e-learning.
Topic 2. New paradigms of teaching. E-learning to m-learning: evolution towards u-learning.
Topic 3. Methodologies and tools online.
Topic 4. Research in e-learning.
4.4. Course planning and calendar
The activities and key dates will be communicated through the Teaching Digital Ring (ADD) at the beginning of the academic period of the subject and/or in a written document delivered by the teacher. The academic calendar and the official dates of exams can be consulted on the website of the Faculty of Education.
